The project leads in 2016 and 2017 by Peter Gallinelli demonstrated that it is possible to pass 10 months in the north of Greenland in autonomy in a passive boat, using local renewable resources.
The boat, real floating laboratory, has also enabled a whole series of scientific experiments to be carried out :
- Sampling of microplastics in collaboration with IFREMER
- Implementation and monitoring of passive sensors (PCB research) in collaboration with the University of SAVOIE MONT-BLANC
- Launch of buoys (data recovery) in collaboration with METEO FRANCE
- Analysis of the diversity of phytoplankton and heavy metals in collaboration with the University of BRETAGNE
